World Poet Rabindranath Tagore has written the poetry book Gitanjali (Hindi, Bengali, English).
Rabindranath Tagore caused a stir all over the world through his poetry Gitanjali and introduced the Bengali language to people all over the world. No one has already been able to show this unique pattern in Bengali literature. He was the first Indian poet to receive the Nobel Prize. He has written thousands of songs, poems, novels, stories and plays.
Rabindranath Tagore's works include thirteen novels, 52 books of poetry, 38 plays, 36 essays and a collection of other stories published during his lifetime and after his death.
The book was widely acclaimed in London's literary circles. Soon the melodious sound of Gitanjali mesmerized the whole world. For the first time the western world saw glimpses of Indian intelligence. Rabindranath Tagore received the Nobel Prize in 1913, a year after the publication of Gitanjali. Tagore was not only a great creative person, he was also the first to act as a bridge between the Eastern and Western worlds. Thakur is a great beacon of literature, art and music not only in India, but in the whole world, a pillar that will shine forever.
The World Poet Rabindranath was born on April 7, 1861 (in Bengal, on 25 Vaishakh, 1268), into the famous Tagore family of Jorasanko, Calcutta. His father's name was Maharishi Devendranath Tagore and mother's name was Shardadevi. Though a zamindar family of the time, Thakurbari were pioneers in the field of education and culture. The life of the children of this family starts with music, acting, painting, physical exercise along with studies. But in this huge family separate worlds were reserved for men, women and children. Especially the six had to go under strict discipline. His care was in the hands of the family servants. However, parents were everywhere under surveillance.
1913 Rabindranath returned home. In the same year, the Swedish Literary Council awarded Rabindranath the Nobel Prize for his poetry. No other Indian has ever won this award for his literary work. Upon receiving the Nobel Prize, Rabindranath Tagore was awarded the title of World Poet. He is the only person in the world from Bengal and India. In 1914, the University of Calcutta awarded him a doctorate, and the following year Sarkar Sir. Seeing his health at this time, Gandhiji helped him by giving Rs 60,000 in 1966.
The poet was welcomed at the age of seventy. The poet said in the meeting, I have only one identity, that is nothing else. I am just a poet. The poet was presented a rare book named The Golden Book of Tagore on the occasion. In 1937, Rabindranath Tagore was invited to speak at the Calcutta University convocation and spoke in Bengali. The university again awarded him the degree of D-lit. In 1940, at a ceremony in Santiniketan, Oxford University honored the poet with a doctorate. This is his last respect for the people of the world. On his last birthday in 1941, he read the essay Crisis of Civilization.
At last on 7 August 1941 he pass away. The author of many novels, poems, songs, plays, short stories, essays, lyric plays, comics, letters and pictures, there was only one phase of Rabindranath Tagore's poetic quest to unite the infinite with the limit. He is the only poet whose two songs have been adopted as the national anthems of India and Bangladesh.
